Fronter Y is the new naming convention for release numbers of Fronter, whereby Y10 means Year 2010. Fronter will have one main release per year in the summer but will in addition release new functionality during the year in point releases. New functionality will by default be turned off to allow administrators to decide when they want to introduce new functionality to its users.

Goal module

The new goal module replaces the existing learning goal functionality. Administrators can use a national goal structure or create their own self-defined goals. The new module includes matrices and visualisations, making it possible to track progress in multiple ways. Within a room, the goal module can make use of general goals e.g. nationally defined goal structure, school defined goals or custom goals defined by the teacher. Students can access an overview of all goals assigned to them, with their evaluation and the chance to feedback on their personal progress..

 Individual learning plan (ILP)

The ILP is a tool for teachers and students enabling individual follow up and tracking of a student’s progress through school. The ILP provides a simple interface for teachers to organise individual meetings, parent meetings, collection of progress reports from subject teachers and self review from students.
Teachers who have shared responsibilities for a course, subject or a class, can enter their assessments of the student in this tool and have easy access to work that the students have carried out. Parents can easily follow the student evaluation from the Parental login, and then give comments back to the teachers.
